Introducing the Zyla5.5 HF

The Zyla 5.5 ‘HF’ is the first platform on the market to bring together the unique fast acquisition rates & high sensitivity features of scientific CMOS (sCMOS) technology, as well as a state-of-the-art single fibre optic ‘direct’ coupling for high throughput, high resolution acquisitions of highly energetic photons seen through a scintillator screen. The AndoRevolution DSD2 is a simple confocal device delivering extraordinary imaging performance.

Its simplicity lies in a compact patented optical design and laser-free operation, providing ease of retrofit to an existing fluorescence microscope, or an easy addition to most new models currently available.

The benefits are an affordable confocal device for your own laboratory, eliminating the need to use core facilities, or if you run a core facility, you can increase your capacity and offer a lower cost solution with a DSD2.

Andor Holospec: high throughput, high-density multi-track imaging spectrograph


Belfast, 05 November, 2013 Andor Technology plc (Andor), a world leader in scientific imaging and spectroscopy solutions, today announced the launch of its new Spectroscopy detection solutions based on the high throughput imaging Holospec spectrograph. The Volume Phase Holographic (VPH) grating-based Holospec offers up to seven times better collection power than traditional 1/3rd m Czerny-Turner spectrograph with superb highdensity multi-track spectroscopy properties. This enables superior photon collection efficiency when combined with Andor ultrasensitive detectors, e.g. Andor’s iDus 416 Low Dark Current Deep-Depletion (LDC-DD) CCD and single photon-sensitive Newton EMCCD series.
The Andor Holospec is the ideal solution for collecting more light and achieving better signalto-noise ratio faster. This is critical for applications such as weak nanostructure photoluminescence, micro-Raman mapping (inc. TERS), spectrally-assisted microfluidics,real-time medical diagnosis, stand-off chemical detection and on-line process control. Its rugged and compact design makes the Holospec an ideal tool for challenging industrial or inthe-field applications, while still offering research-grade performance suitable for academic research.
